ARCHES AQUARELLE WATERCOLOR PAPERIts hard to find a serious watercolor artist who doesnt respect ARCHES paper for its superior performance. Thanks to an exclusive core sizing, each sheet offers astounding absorbency, as the pH-neutral internal & external fibers hold pigment in place without over-saturation. The heavyweight surface withstands multiple layers of paint with minimal warping & is suitable for water-based mediums such as ink, gouache & acrylic painting. AVAILABLE AS COLD PRESS, HOT PRESS & ROUGH FOR DIFFERENT TEXTURES: Choosing the right surface can impact the success of your piece just as much as skill level & paint quality. COLD PRESS: Wet paper pulp is pressed onto a cylinder mould & dried between layers of absorbent fabric, ensuring the textureor toothcreated by the mould remains intact. This texture provides balanced absorbency & allows for expressive, improvised strokes, making it a favorite for landscape paintings, expressionist portraits & urban Sketch Papering.
