5 Ways To Color Pixiss Diamond Resin

Welcome back! In today's blog post, we will discuss how to add color to Pixiss Diamond Resin. I will tell you what I used and how it worked. Keep in mind that when adding elements to resin, too much can alter your resin's hardness.

MICA POWDER

Mica is a natural stone mineral with shiny flakes. When the mica is ground into a powder, you get mica powder. Mica powder comes in many different colors and gives a shimmery/pearl-like effect! Mica powders are very popular when coloring resin.

ALCOHOL INK

Alcohol inks are fast-drying, highly pigmented, alcohol-based inks that are great to use on any hard, non-porous surface, including glass, metal, plastic, ceramic, stone, leather, and polymer clay. Once the ink is applied, the alcohol evaporates, leaving the dye behind. Alcohol inks are another popular way to color resin, especially with tumblers.

GLITTER

We all know what glitter is and how creative we can get with it! I loved coloring resin with glitter because of the beautiful sparkle that happens when it cures! If you make resin jewelry, this is a great way to capture that sparkle!

UNICORN SPIT

Unicorn Spit is a paint, gel stain, and glaze concentrate all in one bottle. It comes in two options, matte or sparkle. When mixing with resin, you won't need a lot of Unicorn Spit, a small dollop of paint for 24ml of resin.

RIT POWDER DYE

This versatile, easy-to-use and non-toxic powder dye is ready to deliver vibrant color to fabric or fabric blends. But did you know that you can use it in resin too? RIT dye colored the resin to a translucent finish and left a speckled finish, much like glitter but without the sparkle.

So if you are looking for a more translucent color, RIT powder dye will color Pixiss Diamond Resin. Success!
